Cheera Thoran/amaranth(amaranthus) fry

Ingredients
red/green cheera chopped-250 gram
1 teaspoon ghee or oil
cumin seed-1/2 teaspoon
coconut grated-100 gram
salt 1 teaspoon
 a pinch of turmeric powder
Method

Take washed and chopped red cheera in a pan and cook with 1 teaspoon ghee in medium heat for 5 minutes with a lid.No need of adding any water.You can use oil instead of ghee.But remember ghee adds more taste.Add salt.

Meanwhile it is cooking,take grated coconut and into it add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds.Grind it.

Add the grinded mixer into the cooking cheera and stir for 2 minutes.The tasty dish is ready :)You can have this with cooked rice.

Healthy bread sandwich (mayonnaise recipe)


Ingredients
4 wheat bread
2 egg
50 gram cabbage chopped
2 green chilli chopped
1 tomato chopped (optional)
3 curry leaves
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon mayonnaise(you can get this from any grocery shop)
Method
Mayonnaise is salty in taste.
 
Cook the finely chopped vegetables in 1 teaspoon oil in a pan,add 1/2 teaspoon salt to it while cooking.Then into the cooked vegetable,add 2 egg.
 Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and mix well all the ingredients and make a big egg omelet in a non stick pan. Cook one side for 5 minutes and on top of omelet while cooking add 2 tablespoon of mayonnaise and spread evenly with a spoon.




Cut the omelet into small pieces and place in between two wheat bread and have it.Its so tasty and healthy too :)

Tasty Rice Flakes Ladoo/Aval ladoo/Poha Ladoo

Ingredients
  1. 100 gram rice flakes
  2. 3 teaspoon ghee
  3. 5 tablespoon sugar
  4. 5 cashew-nut
  5. 5 raisin
Method
  • Wash rice flakes with water.
  • Roast rice flakes in 2 teaspoon of ghee for 5 minutes in medium heat.
  • Grind the rice flakes in mixer well.Then add 5 tablespoon of sugar and grind it well with rice flakes.
  • Roast the cashew-nuts and raisins separately  in 1 teaspoon of ghee for 1 minute in medium heat.
  • Add the roasted cashew-nuts and raisins into the grind-ed mixer and mix well with hand.Make it into small balls.Tasty ladoo is ready :)

Ingredients
6 piece of Ivy gourd

Cut Ivy gourd into small round pieces.

Fish Fry with Yogurt



Ingredients
2 teaspoon yogurt
2 teaspoon chilli,turmeric powder
salt 1 teaspoon
Method
Marinate fish with 2 teaspoon chilli,turmeric powder and salt(I prefer 1 teaspoon) as per taste.Keep it aside for 1/2 an hour.
Just before frying add 2 teaspoon yogurt in marinated fish pieces and mix well with hand.
Fry it in hot oil in medium heat in a pan.
Fry both sides for 5 minutes.
Remember to fry in a non-stick pan,so that the fish would not broke.

Yummy Fish Curry With Tomato



Ingredients
1/2 kg fish
10 garlic cloves chopped
100 gram ginger chopped
2 medium sized onion chopped
3 green chilli chopped
3 medium sized tomato 
2 teaspoon each salt,chilli,turmeric,coriander powder
                                   
Marinate fish with salt,chilli,turmeric powder.Keep aside the marinated fish for 1/2 an hour.

Prepare tomato pure with 3 medium sized tomato
Roast ginger,garlic,chilli in oil for 1 minute in medium heat.Then add tomato pure and cook for 5 minutes with closed lid to remove tomato's raw taste.Then add salt,chilli,turmeric and coriander powder and mix well by adding bit water into it.Then add the marinated fish pieces in top and cook each side for 5 minute with closed lid.Remember not to stir the gravy after adding fish because the fish may broke.Lasty add 1 teaspoon of oil at top and serve hot with rice/dosa/chapati/puttu :)

Chickpea Curry

Ingredients
chickpea 1 cup
coconut grinded thick paste 1 cup
1 onion chopped
5 garlic cloves chopped
50 gram ginger chopped
coriander powder 2 tablespoon
chilli powder,turmeric powder each 2 teaspoon
salt as per taste
Method
Soak chickpeas for 8 hours.
Then cook in pressure cooker for 5 whistle.For 1 cup of chickpea add 4 cup of water and mix well with salt,turmeric and chilli..After cooked keep it aside.

Now fry ginger,garlic,onion one by one in oil for 5 minutes.

Then add thick coconut paste and 2 tbsp coriander powder.

Stir once and lastly add the cooked chickpeas.
With a lid cook it for 10 minutes.Grnish it with coriander leaves.Curry is ready :)

You can have this with chapati,puttu and appam.Hope you liked it.
