Yummy Dum Biryani


Ingredients
200 grams chicken
5 garlic cloves
50 grams ginger
2 cinnamon
2 cloves
1 elachi
1 teaspoon of chilli powder ,turmeric powder,pepper powder and  chicken masala
salt to taste
4 teaspoon yogurt
basmati rice 1 cup


Method
Firstly wash the chicken and marinate with salt,turmeric,chilli,pepper powder and keep it aside for 20 minutes.
 
In frying pan add 1 teaspoon oil and fry garlic,ginger,cinnamon,cloves,elachi  and grind it in mixy.Take the mixture and add it in a towel.
            In a frying pan light the stove add bit water and dip the towel in hot water for 5 minutes so    that the fragrance add into the water well.Add the water into the marinated chicken and keep it for 10 minutes.
Cook the chicken in pressure cooker for 1 whistle.Cook 1 cup rice in a saucepan with 1/2 cup water and cook for 5 minutes.



Add the cooked chicken into an aluminum vessel and half cooked rice on top of it.
 
 Garnish it with fried onion and coriander leaves.Sprinkle 1/4 litre of milk into rice.Close with lid and cook for 15 minutes in low flame.Then in medium heat cook for 5 minutes.

Dum biryani is ready :)

CABBAGE FRY WITH COCONUT


Ingredients
chopped cabbage 1 cup
grated coconut 1/2 cup
urad dal 2 teaspoon
2 red chilli
4 teaspoon oil
1 teaspoon cumin seed
1 teaspoon chilli powder,turmeric,salt
Method
Firstly chop the cabbage like this-
Add into the frying pan cabbage with salt,turmeric and chilli powder.Cook for 10 minutes with lid.Cabbage produce water to cook,so no need to add water.
Now after cooked keep it aside.Take the urad dal-
Add in another pan 2 teaspoon oil.When oil gets hotter then add urad dal and dry chilli,saute it like it-


The fried urad dal should be crispy.Grind the coconut with cumin seeds and add it into the frying pan.Then lastly add the cooked cabbage.Add 2 teaspoon oil into it.Stir well and cook for 5 minutes.Cabbage is ready :).Serve it with rice.

Dal curry(Parippu curry) with Toor dal


Ingredients
  • 1 cup Toor dal
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 dried red chilli
  • a pinch of mustard seeds to splutter
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric,chilli powder
  • salt to taste

Method
 Take this dal-


Firstly soak the toor dal for 15 minutes and drain the water and wash it well.Cook it in pressure cooker for 1 whistle.Remember to add salt and turmeric powder while cooking.
Take the grated coconut.Then grind it in mixy with cumin seeds,1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of chilli powder.
When the grated coconut grind well,like this-
Add the cooked dal into the mixy and grind it well with coconut.So that we get a smooth paste.Keep it aside.So now light the stove,place the pan and when pan gets hot add oil.Then add mustard seeds to splutter and lastly dry chilli.Stir well.
Then add the smooth paste into the pan and cook for 15 minutes.Then the dish is ready :) You can have it with rice,chapati and puttu.

HOW TO MAKE PUTTU



Ingredients

2 cup rice flour(puttu podi)
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup water
coconut grated

Method
Firstly take the puttu podi,you can buy double horse white puttu podi from market.This is puttu podi-
 Mix well the puttu podi with hand in between sprinkle bit water so that we get the correct texture like this-(Remember don't add more water).
You can steam the puttu podi in chiratta puttu steaming vessel.Firstly add the grated coconut and puttu podi then again at top add bit grated coconut.

Place the vessel on top of pressure cooker and steam it for 15 minutes.Puttu is ready.Serve hot puttu with green peas curry.Hope you liked it :)

HOW TO COOK MATTA RICE (ROSEMATTA RICE)


Ingredient
1 cup of matta rice
2 cup of water
Method
Firstly soak the rice in water for 1/2 an hour like this-


After that wash the rice for 2 or 3 times with water.Then drain the water and add 2 cups of water for cooking in pressure cooker.
Cook on medium heat for 2 whistles.The rice is ready :)

Serve it with Thoran which  I mentioned in previous blog it tastes so good :)

THORAN(vegetable-mixed coconut dish)




Ingredients
1 cup of chopped yam
1 cup of chopped carrot
1 cup of chopped raw banana
1 cup of chopped long beans
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
 4 teaspoon of oil
1/4 teaspoon of cumin seeds
1 cup of grated coconut
Method
Firstly wash the vegetables and add it into the pressure cooker.Then add chilli,salt,turmeric,masala,oil and mix well with a spoon.





Then cook the vegetables for 1 whistle.Here you can see the cooked vegetables -


          Keep vegetables aside.Then grind  the coconut with cumin seeds also add into it  1/4 teaspoon of chilli powder,salt.
 Then take a frying pan,light the stove add 1 teaspoon of oil.Fry the grated coconut and vegetables like this-



Fry it for 10 minutes and stir continuously so that it doesn't stick into the bottom of pan.The dish is ready now.You can have this with cooked rice.Its so tasty :)


Rice Flakes crispy Dosa


Ingredients
Raw Rice-1 cup
Rice flakes -1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Method 
Soak rice in water for 2 hours,after 2 hours drain water and keep it aside.
Then Add both the rice and rice flakes into mixer grinder and grind it.As grinding add water until it result in a batter like consistency.Also add 2 teaspoon of salt.
Then we get a smooth paste like this-
 Firstly Light the stove.Add bit oil into the pan.Make dosa in a dosa tawa with this paste.
         

So serve hot crispy dosa with chutney :)

Note-Remember to cook both sides in medium heat for at least  5 minutes so that it result into a  crispy dosa
